New gig
I have a new assignment, and it’s making it harder for me to blog because the last thing I want to do is jeopardize this job that I’ve been trying SO hard to get by blogging from the company computer. VERY bad move. So, I’ve gotta get it in in the morning or at night, or else it ain’t happenin’.
First of all, LOVE the new gig. Everyone’s really nice, and the kitchen is stocked to the gills with snacks, drinks, and all things fattening. I’m staying the hell out of the kitchen for a while.
I returned home last evening to find two things:
1) My neighbor’s pit bull has been shitting on my lawn, and he sees zero problem with refusing to pick it up. When I arrived there were kids playing on the block, and one of them had stepped in the crap and it was smeared all over the sidewalk. Lovely. We’re going to have to have a little talk, he and I. I love dogs probably more than the next person, but I’m not enamored with their feces.
2) My phone wasn’t working. Whatever it was, AT&T, or whoever they are now, fixed the problem within 1/2 hour of my calling. Who knows who tried to call during the day and thinks that my phone was disconnected.
I’ve been taking the bus, which is new. I’m sure I”ll get a lot of blogging mileage from that experience.
Speaking of which, time to run for the bus (this is SO weird).
