My commute
Yesterday, a commenter, Harry, predicted that I would have good commute stories. He’s absolutely right.
It’s not a smelly person, though.
One of the buses that I could take — the bus that has the perfect route for where I need to be — is the most unreliable bus in the world. The first day, my timing was perfect, I showed up just as it arrived. The second day — yesterday — was not as successful.
I waiting so damned long for that bus that I was almost late, and it never came during my 20 minute wait. I ended up hopping the el, which proved to be a more efficient way of travel.
I abandoned the bus stop at 7:24, and managed to walk in the door of my office by 7:52. That time included switching trains. It’s a longer walk to the train, but well worth it, I’d say.
The joke in the office was that I returned for a second day. I told them that the true test will be if I return next week when things get really hard. 
And there looks like there’s even MORE doggy do outside. Why MY lawn?? They have a lawn. WTF?
