Finally . . .

the weather is breaking and it’s supposed to be 70 today. I’ll believe it when I feel it. I’m downtown, so it’s never quite as warm as they claim it will be. The weathermen say: “it’s going to be a beautiful day. Highs in the 70s. And 50 by the lake.” The only time when it’s not good to be by the lake.

Yesterday was the big immigrant rally. I’ll be so glad when all of that is over. I can’t say that it makes a lot of sense, though. Why should people who have been living here illegally automatically be granted citizenship, when there are others who go the legal route, and work, and go through the process that get ousted? I don’t really think that’s logical. And they’re trying to make it a hispanic thing, but I think this applies to anyone from any of the many other countries. And sure, they’re doing work that I wouldn’t do, but I hardly think that’s the point. Maybe it’s just me.

I’m actually excited to go to work. That’s a new thing.

The weekend was mellow. I ate a lot of sushi — as usual. Did a lot of shopping — as usual. So, nothing’s changed.
